This project was undertaken for an existing customer with whom Nautic Engineering had worked with many times previously, and that serves in the safety critical nuclear sector.
After carrying out an inspection for their client, they had found that some valves on the site required repair, however the original valve manufacturer had ceased trading and replacement internals were no longer available.
The Project
The original valves were a different size to the valves readily available today, and this meant that the pipework would have to be modified from the original design which in turn would trigger a safety case process, delaying the project and result in higher costs.
At this point Nautic Engineering were then contacted and tasked with the bespoke manufacture of replacement valves to provide a rapid and much more cost-effective solution.
The customer required us to provide a straight pattern valve with a custom face-to-face length, which would fit into the existing pipework.
The modular design of Nautic Engineering Ltd’s proprietary valves allowed us to cost effectively produce a replacement valve, keeping our customer’s project on track and keeping costs to a minimum.

Nautic Engineering Ltd can produce bespoke straight and angle pattern pressure relief valves up to category II of the PED 2014/68/EU in carbon steel, stainless steel and brass.
Requests for bespoke face-to-face lengths, face-to-centre, offset lengths and connection combinations can easily be accommodated, and if you would like learn about the bespoke valve manufacturing capabilities at Nautic Engineering Ltd, or discuss any specific future projects you think we might be able to assist you with, please get in touch.
