Nautic Management Undergo Continuous Improvement Training

The management of Nautic Engineering Ltd have recently undertaken a Continuous Improvement Essentials course in Manchester.

Nautic Engineering are united as a company to be considered a centre of excellence for manufacturing. They wish to build on their hard-earned reputation for engineering excellence in Greater Manchester and reach to the wider-region and beyond. The attendance of our management team on this course is a further sign of our ongoing commitment to CI.

The Continuous Improvement Essentials course is intended to cultivate a unified culture of continuous improvement, by aligning the understanding and execution of lean principles across all employees. This unity helps everyone, from the shop floor up to management, ensuring everyone is working with a common objective, eliminating waste and adding value for the customer.

The topics covered on the course included:

• Origins and evolution of lean thinking and continuous improvement
• Lean and continuous improvement concepts and frameworks
• Core elements of lean and continuous improvement
• Management and leadership in a lean workplace

The course was structured following the Lean Competency System (LCS) Level 1A requirements and was run by the Manufacturers Network in Manchester.
